Etecsa with new remittance service

Cuban telecommunications company Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A. (Etecsa) launched a new remittance service for citizens living abroad, local press reported. The service is called SerCUBA and will initially allow Cubans living in Spain and Italy to send money back to families living in Cuba. The service has no transaction fees and aims to attract clients from the largest overseas Cuban populations. Etecsa plans to expand its remittance services to other regions as well.
