Fitch confirms Edesur BBB debt rating

Credit ratings agency Fitch Argentina has confirmed the BBB rating on US$570mn of debt held by local distributor Edesur with a stable outlook, Fitch said in a statement. Edesur has adequate income generation, a conservative debt structure and a high level of liquidity, Fitch said. In the last few years, Edesur has refinanced its debt maturities, using the proceeds to pay down dollar-denominated debt. Edesur is controlled by Endesa Spain and operates in Buenos Aires and the surrounding area.
