Govt. inks Hurlingham sewage plant contract

Bnamericas
Argentina's government and company Coarco have signed a contract for the latter to build the Hurlingham sewage plant in Buenos Aires, the presidency reported. The country's national waterworks promotion and financing agency Enohsa will finance the 16.4mn (US$5.66mn) plant that will benefit residents in the municipalities of Hurlingham, Ituzaingó, Morón and Tres de Febrero. Coarco will have 540 days to build the plant, which is one of four such plants that fall under the Reconquista basin cleanup program. The bidding process for the second plant in the municipality of Bella Vista is underway, while processes for the two other plants (Catonas and Ferrari) have yet to be launched. In total, the plants will benefit 870,000 residents in the basin area.
