Idaan expects Las Tablas water plant ready in Aug.

A US$7.88mn drinking water plant for Panamanian Los Santos province capital Las Tablas will be ready in August of next year, La Prensa quoted state water utility Idaan director Laurencio Guardia as saying. Idaan awarded company Ininco the construction contract in July. Water will be pumped from the La Villa river to provide drinking water to the cities of Las Tablas, La Villa de Los Santos and Guarare and will have a 6Mg/d capacity. The plant will serve some 67,000 local residents for at least 25 years.
