Vancouver-based Eaglecrest Exploration has reported increasing quartz vein width with depth from the continued drilling of the gold mineralization within the Doña Amelia zone on the company's San Simón property in Bolivia. The company is using four diamond drills and has to date completed 15,000m of drilling in 63 holes of the 16,000m phase 1 drilling aimed at tracing the quartz vein in the main east-west structure in the Dona Amelia zone along strike and down dip. Highlights from the drilling in the last two months in the Trinidad area include a 5.65m quartz vein intersection grading 3.31 g/t gold and 4.76m of quartz vein grading 5.15 g/t gold. * * * Canada's Greystar Resources has reported continued favorable results from its wholly owned Angostura gold-silver deposit in northeastern Colombia. The latest values from nine new holes and the final assays from two previously partially released holes have confirmed the mineral continuity in the known structures, resulted in the discovery of new structures in the Diamante-La Perezosa areas and extended the gold mineralization on the southeastern margin of the deposit in the Nueva Alta area. The company is "particularly encouraged" by hole NA04-10, part of a new string of holes drilled 50m east of the previous limit of drilling in the Nueva Alta area, which returned 42m grading 2g/t of gold. * * * Vancouver-based Andresmin Gold has mobilized an exploration team to begin preliminary exploration in the Huarangayoc and Pira properties near Huaraz in Peru. This phase of exploration consists of mapping and sampling, which represents the first modern exploration of these properties. Huarangayoc, in the Calipuy Volcanic zone in the Cordillera Negra mountain range, is a polymetallic prospect. Earlier results by state mining entity Centromin returned surface assays of 6.0 g/t of gold, 9.4% lead and 75 g/t of silver. The Centromin work identified two mineralized systems, each of which remains open for expansion.
