Ministers to study Trinidad-Santa Cruz gas pipeline

Bolivia's President Carlos Mesa will send two ministers to the city of Trinidad in Beni department on December 10 to study the construction of the Santa Cruz-Trinidad gas pipeline, government news agency ABI reported. Presidential and hydrocarbons ministers, Jose Galindo and Alvaro Rios, will accompany a group of technicians to the city. Various civic institutions in Beni held a 24-hour strike on December 5 and are holding hunger strikes until the government meets a list of demands that includes building the pipeline, ABI reported.
