Multiacos forecasts 10% revenues growth

Brazilian steel distributor Multiacos forecasts its sales revenues will rise 10% in 2004 compared to this year, AE-Setorial news service reported. The company has invested 5mn reais (US$1.7mn) to relocate and buy new equipment for the production of tubes and shapes. As a result, steel-processing capacity will increase to 15,000t a month from 10,000t when the new lines are completed in 1H04, the report said. Muitiacos forecasts revenues will total 100mn reais this year, up 15% from 2002. Growth in revenue is due more to rising prices than an increase in volumes, company officials said.
