Neuquen to tackle hospital waste

The environment and sustainable development agency of Argentina's Neuquen province and the municipalities of Centenario, Rincon de los Sauces and Anelo have signed an agreement to create an entity to develop a hospital waste treatment center, the provincial government reported. A company has been selected to carry out the environmental, engineering, financial and legal studies of the center, dubbed "Centro Regional de Tratamiento Integral de los Residuos Patogenos." It will be responsible for collecting, transporting and disposing hospital waste generated by public and private companies.
