Nov. generation increases 5.18% yr-on-yr

Peru's power generation increased 5.18% to 1,737GWh in November this year from the same month 2002, according to power dispatch center COES-SINAC. Hydro generation accounted for 78.1% (1,357GWh) of power dispatched to the grid, with thermo generation accounting for the remaining 21.9% (380GWh). The main generator in November was state power company Electroperu with 32.3% of the total, followed by Edegel with 19.6% and Egenor with 9.75%.
