PDVSA refineries processing 1.2mb/d

Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA is currently processing 1.19 million barrels of crude a day (mb/d), the company's refining VP Iván Hernández said in a statement Thursday. The 925,000b/d capacity Paraguaná refinery is processing 817,000b/d, and once an alkylate unit at the El Palito refinery is repaired, it will produce 18,000b/d of alkylate, he said. PDVSA has recently sent four shipments of reformulated gasoline (RFG) to the US, which meet that country's environmental standards. "Because of this we can say PDVSA's national refining business is giving optimum results," Hernández said.
