Bnamericas
A representative from Panama's Yaviza in Darien province has asked the public works ministry (MOP) to expedite repairs of the Metiti-Yaviza highway, local paper El Critica reported. The 26km stretch is not usable in its current state, and is preventing bus circulation of the Panama-Darien route and other interior routes, the paper quoted Yaviza representative Ernesto Valdelamar as saying. An additional 26km of the Canglon-Yaviza road has been repaired over the past 12 months, the paper added.
