Petrobras Energia to invest US$35mn in petrochemicals

Argentine energy company Petrobras Energia plans to invest US$35mn in its petrochemical activities in Argentina in 2004, Brazilian business daily Valor Economico quoted company refinery and petrochemical chief Haroldo Dahn as saying. "We plan to expand industrial plants, anticipating future necessities," Dahn said. Petrobras Energia operates three petrochemical plants in Argentina and has stakes in three others. The company holds 55% of the styrene and 32% of polystyrene market in the Mercosur trade bloc.
