
Randon reports US$13mn 1Q05 profit, up 35% on year

Randon Implementos e Participações, a Brazilian holding company with stakes in transport vehicles, auto parts and other businesses, on Tuesday said that its first quarter net profits stood at 33mn reais (US$13.2mn), up 35% from the year-earlier result. Net revenue increased 33% by the same comparison, to 467mn reais. At the end of March, Randon's net equity amounted to 287mn.
