Repsol YPF opens 3D visualization center

Spanish oil company Repsol YPF inaugurated Thursday a 3D seismic visualization center in Argentina's Neuquen province to study information from hydrocarbons exploration, the province's government said in a statement. "The Neuquen basin offers the most promising area for the discovery of new fields," Repsol YPF's Latin America exploration and production director, Ruben Patritti, said. The center, the first of its kind in Argentina, improves the interpretation of seismic results in attempts to minimize exploration risk.
