Santa Catarina signs SC-469 hwy. work orders

Brazil's Santa Catarina state governor Eduardo Moreira has inked the work orders to pave 52km of state highway SC-469, which will cost 40mn reais (US$13.8mn), the state government reported. Companies ARG and Carpizza will carry out the works that are split into two lots: Campo Ere to Saltinho (28.5km) and Saltinho to Serra Alta (23.2km). Works will take two years. The Inter-American Development Bank and state funds are each financing 50% of the work's cost, according to Miguel Angelo da Silva, engineering director at the state's infrastructure department.
