Santiago to host IIRSA reunion Dec.

Chilean capital Santiago will host the fifth reunion of the South American regional integration initiative IIRSA's executive committee December 2-4. IIRSA was established in 2000 at a meeting of South American Presidents in Brasilia and is a multi-sector and multi-disciplinary initiative that deals with transport, power and telecommunications issues, among others. The Inter-American Development Bank, the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the River Plate basin development fund Fonplata make up IIRSA's technical coordination committee.
