TEM expects US$130mn Ebitda loss at Mexican unit

Spain's Telefónica Móviles expects an Ebitda loss of just over 100mn euros (US$130mn) at its Mexican mobile unit this year, Reuters news agency quoted the company's president Antonio Viana-Baptista as saying. Viana-Baptista said the company felt comfortable with this figure and that it would continue concentrating more on revenue growth than operating margins. With regard to its Brazilian unit, Vivo, Viana-Baptista said that Ebitda as a percentage of revenue would maintain a similar figure to last year, which yielded a 33% margin.
