Telespazio launches Voip LD service

The Argentine division of Italian satellite services provider Telespazio has launched long distance services using voice over IP technology (Voip), the company said in a statement. Telespazio launched operations in August 2003 and now has 60 corporate clients, some of which already use Voip services. Argentina's Voip market is expected to grow to 380,000 clients this year, rising to 4 million by year-end 2007, Telespazio said, citing a report by consultancy In-Stat. Clients already using the service include Zeni forestry firm, printing firm Cantabria, agriculture and livestock firm Campobueno, petrol company Cabo Vírgenes and a hotel in Calafate.
