Virtualisimo Receives US$350,000 from SEAF

Bolivian portal Virtualisimo (www.virtualisimo.com) has received a US$350,000 capital injection from US-based VC fund Small Enterprises Assistance Funds (SEAF). The fresh capital will allow Serinbol, the company behind Virtualisimo, to consolidate in Bolivia, expand regionally and speed up content, product and services development, the company said in a statement. Virtualisimo offers content in 14 categories including art & culture, technology & computers and finance & business, as well as community features such as free email, chat and an online store called Bolivian Store (www.bolivianstore.com). The site currently reports an average of 7,000 daily unique user sessions. Last year it totaled four million page-views and around 12 million hits.
