ABB to promote interconnection at Santiago conference

The Chilean subsidiary of Swiss technologies supplier ABB will promote electricity interconnection in Latin America at the "International Regional Interconnections Seminar" in Chilean capital Santiago November 25-26, ABB said in a statement. ABB Chile is hosting the event, which is organized by the international non-governmental association Consejo Internacional de Grandes Redes Electricas (Cigre). Officials from Chile's national energy commission (CNE) and electricity and fuels regulator (SEC) will speak at the event along with government and private representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Venezuela and Colombia, the statement said.
