For his part, the General Coordinator of the International Mining Convention, Ricardo Moreno Trousselle, indicated that the event is conducive to the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of professional ties.

He noted that Acapulco is a city that has become the epicenter of mining in Mexico. The Secretary of Economic Development and Promotion of Guerrero, Teodora Ramírez Vega, representing Governor Salgado Pineda, announced that mining activity in Guerrero represents one of the most dynamic sectors of the state economy, as it generates more than four thousand direct jobs and more than 17 thousand indirect jobs. “In exports, in attracting national and foreign investment, in the incorporation of local suppliers, it is an important value chain,” she added.

In this regard, the Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, Simón Quiñones, highlighted that the state government is working tirelessly to reactivate the economic, tourist and social life of Acapulco.
