Actionline aims to grow revenue to US$7.6mn

Bnamericas
Latin American call center operator Actionline, a member of British communications group WPP, aims to grow its revenues in Brazil to 22.5mn reais (US$7.6mn) this year from 15mn reais in 2003, according to an Actionline executive. "Within Brazil, we are very focused on the telecom and finance sectors. We feel those markets are where there is more volume and growth potential and that is the tendency in all of Mercosur," Actionline Brasil director Washington Fachola told BNamericas. The company, headquartered in Buenos Aires, also has offices in Córdoba, Argentina, São Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile. Offshore accounts currently represent roughly 30% of Actionline's business. The offices in Argentina and Chile are keen to increase this segment of the business, which primarily serves the US Hispanic market and Spain, Fachola said. The company leverages a strong marketing expertise to provide clients with knowledge about the consumer, according to Fachola. Among its projects in Brazil, Actionline has contracted with a large telecom company to reduce the incidence of customer non-payment. This involves creating consumer profiles to facilitate payment negotiation while maintaining customer retention.
