San Salvador, Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
AES is renewed to take on new energy challenges and join the global transition towards a future of more sustainable and smart energy solutions.
AES El Salvador announced on April 6 the launch of its new brand at a global and local level, a transformation that represents the evolution of the company and its commitment to generate a positive impact through the generation of clean energy, the introduction of innovative energy products and services, and the incorporation of more technologies in its operations, adapted to the needs of its customers.
The Executive President of AES El Salvador, Abraham Bichara , explained that: “Our new mission is: accelerating the future of energy, together. For this reason, the new AES represents the opportunities we have as a company to create a positive impact on our clients and the community; our people are the most valuable resource we have, and we are incorporating the necessary technological innovations that will transform the sector, thus boosting the energy that the future needs ” .
In this new stage, AES highlighted that it has established three business lines that will guide them towards the energy future:
- Generation Division: It is a commitment to "green" growth, by producing carbon-free energy, and contributing to energy diversification and environmental sustainability.
- Solutions Division: AES makes smart products and services adapted to their energy needs available to the commercial and industrial sector, helping them to maximize the impact of their investments and helping them achieve their sustainability goals.
- Distribution Division: For AES, customers are the center. To continue improving the service it provides, it has integrated more technology into its commercial and operational operations by strengthening its customer service channels on social networks with artificial intelligence; the integration of digital solutions through telecontrol and telemetering technology; and the modernization of its electrical infrastructure that includes the implementation of drones to inspect the network and the construction of compact distribution networks.
On this last point, Bichara highlighted that: "The implementation of these technologies will allow us to provide an agile, safe and reliable service to the 1.4 million clients we serve through our distributors: CAESS, CLESA, EEO and DEUSEM".
New image for distributors
AES explained that, from now on, its distribution companies: CAESS, CLESA, EEO and DEUSEM, will also be identified with a new image.
In this sense, the company reported that this renewal will be reflected in all its commercial offices, vehicle fleet, uniforms, electricity bills, social networks and website; and, in addition, it will be announced through an information campaign in the media.
A. Bichara: "We work to transform lives"
In addition, the transformation of AES consolidates its commitment to promote progress and development in the communities where it operates, through the positive impact it generates with its corporate social responsibility programs: AES Mujer and AES Energía Rural, which promote inclusion; and AES Education and AES Environment that contribute to sustainability.
"With these programs we seek to generate a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve, that is why we work with a long-term vision, and the consistent results of our programs demonstrate this," added A. Bichara.
A global challenge
"We are part of the transition to a future with cleaner energy," said Abraham Bichara. To achieve this, globally, AES is increasing from 3 to 4 thousand megawatts (MW) of renewable energy generation per year. "That means 3 or 4 times the power demand of El Salvador," said Bichara.
Likewise, AES is a world leader in the implementation of integrated solar power generation with batteries to store energy, a technology that is already available in El Salvador.
"At AES we will continue to create smart solutions to help our customers be part of the future of energy" concluded A. Bichara
This is how AES is betting on the energy of the future in El Salvador, with green growth, new business models, digitization and technology; and makes its global experience and local knowledge available to the country to generate a positive impact on the life of each Salvadoran.
