Agis wins US$360mn contract to supply systems for São Paulo subway

Agis Construção won a tender to design and implement several systems for the expansion of the São Paulo subway’s line No. 2. 

The tender was launched in December 2022 and the contract is worth 1.98 billion reais (US$361 million). 

The contract includes engineering design and the supply and implementation of electric, auxiliary and telecommunication systems, according to the award notice from subway operator Companhia do Metropolitano de São Paulo. 

The expansion project will add 8.3km and eight stations to the line.

According to the BNamericas database, the expansion's capex is estimated at US$1.43bn.
