Agreement signing for "Installation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant for Biogas Generation in the Acelhuate River"
This ANDA release was published using machine translation.
The president of the autonomous region, Ing. Rubén Alemán , has proposed five lines of work as a basis for his administration, one of them being sanitation , with which it is guaranteed to reduce the impact of organic matter in the country and improve the quality of life Of the inhabitants. That is why, together with the president of the president of the Lempa River Hydroelectric Executive Commission (CEL) , Daniel Álvarez , they have come together to develop a project of social and environmental benefit, of the "Installation of a Wastewater Treatment Plant for the Generation of Biogas in the Acelhuate River ”.
This plant will convert approximately 70% of the wastewater generated in the Metropolitan Area of San Salvador, into biogas; This will reduce gas emissions, and the same contribution to sanitation will be a renewable energy source. In addition to the great positive impact on electricity generation, this project will be of great benefit to the sanitation of the Acelhuate River, reducing the discharge of organic matter, and above all, it will contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the population residing in the area of influence: in terms of health, local economy, among others.
The inter-institutional work is of great importance and that is why the entire ANDA and CEL team will work hand in hand, expanding the operational and technical link, to guarantee development in such important issues as energy and sanitation. We are committed to fulfilling the mandate entrusted by President Nayib Bukele and we will continue to work hand in hand with government institutions and, seeking strategic alliances, to make important contributions to the development and growth of El Salvador.
