Bnamericas
Buenos Aires waterworks concessionaire Aguas Argentinas will "soon" present an investment works plan for 2004, according to Jacques Petry, president of Suez Environnement, Aguas's principal shareholder. Petry made the announcement during a meeting this week with federal planning, public investment and services minister Julio de Vido, where he also reaffirmed Suez's intention of staying in the country. Aguas, which is one of 61 companies whose contracts are under revision by the federal government, won its 30-year operating concession in 1993, and serves some 10 million residents in greater Buenos Aires. Its concession area takes up 1,830 sq. km.
