
Alexandre Silveira meets with Chinese state-owned company and aligns investments of US$ 10 billion in Brazil

The Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, received, this Thursday (4/27), the president of the Chinese state-owned Energy China International, Lyu Zexiang, one of the largest companies in the energy sector in the world. During the meeting, the group pledged to invest US$ 10 billion in the areas of renewable energy generation and green hydrogen production in the coming years.
Silveira highlighted the work carried out by the ministry and the Federal Government to attract new investments to the country.

The minister also highlighted the resumption of dialogue with several countries in the world and the growth of investor confidence in Brazil. The company and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) also pledged to strengthen exchanges between the two countries to take advantage of potential in the area of renewable energy and low-carbon hydrogen.
