Chile/Argentina, June 2024. Anabática Renovables, a company specialized in technical consulting for companies dedicated to wind, solar, H2V and storage energy projects, has strengthened its operations in Argentina, through the opening of the office in the city of Buenos Aires. This opening represents a historic milestone for the consulting firm, which seeks to position itself as a relevant player in the Latin American energy market.

Within the framework of its energy transition process, the Argentine market - like the rest of the countries in the region - faces significant challenges to advance on this path, for which it must plan improvements in infrastructure and the promotion of regulation that promote the development of clean technologies that aim to reduce polluting emissions, as well as supply costs, among other factors.

This panorama implies important advances in technical and financing terms for the trans-Andean industry, which - in turn - opens up great challenges for the future, especially after the country's auspicious figures. According to data from CAMMESA (Company Administrator of the Wholesale Electricity Market S. A), in April 2024, Argentina reached a new record by supplying 18.6% of its electricity demand with renewable energy. This milestone was possible thanks to the contribution of different clean energy sources. Wind energy led with 1,376.3 GWh (74.1%), followed by solar energy with 283.3 GWh (15.2%), small hydroelectric projects with 126.4 GWh (6.8%) and bioenergy with 70.4 GWh (3.8%). In total, the generation of renewable energy was 1,856.4 GWh, compared to a demand of 10,000 GWh in the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM). When including hydroelectric energy from large plants (more than 50 MW), the total renewable generation reached 4,145.93 GWh, covering 41.45% of the country's electricity demand.

"Argentina has demonstrated significant growth in terms of installed renewable power and we are confident that based on our track record and experience we can be an important ally for the trans-Andean industry,"
Ricardo González, general manager Anabática Renovables.

In response to these challenges, the Anabática Renovables technical office in Argentina seeks to be a strategic ally for its clients, in order to strengthen its services and scope, contributing to the decarbonization of the energy matrix of the countries in which it provides services. "We firmly believe in the ability of Argentine professionals to address the challenges of developing energy projects from renewable sources. Argentina has demonstrated significant growth in terms of installed renewable power in the last decade and we are confident that from our trajectory and experience We can be an important ally for the trans-Andean industry," said Ricardo González, General Manager of Anabática, who also participated as a professor of Renewable Energy at UTN (National Technological University of Argentina) during the first 10 years of the program.

For his part, Marco Zazzini, Technical Manager of Anabática, highlighted the company's knowledge of the Chilean and Argentine markets. "We seek to share our experience in a market with great technical challenges, support our current clients in the country and provide new solutions for Argentine developers. It is an honor for Anabática to participate in the diversification of its energy matrix and provide freshness to the possibilities in local technical consultancy".

The decision to bet on Argentina responds to Anabática's commitment to providing quality services and generating value in each of the markets in which it operates. “The local presence not only reinforces the Service offered to our Clients, but also demonstrates our commitment to the sustained growth of wind, photovoltaic and BESS energy in Argentina,” concluded Zazzini.
