In this regard, the president of ANDE highlighted that in the last three years the level of execution of investments has improved substantially, and for this year the goal is to reach the execution of 370 million USD, an investment greater than that of previous years.
Additionally, other topics of interest were addressed, such as the actions that the Institution has been carrying out in terms of reducing electricity losses and delinquencies, projects for diversification of the energy matrix with the participation of the private sector and projects to modify Art. 173 of the Penal Code, which will increase the penalties for Theft of electrical energy and on the modification of articles of Law No 6977/2023 2023 “Which regulates the promotion, generation, production, development and use of electrical energy from sources of Non-conventional, non-hydraulic Renewable Energies”, which will allow licenses and contracts for the acquisition of electrical energy for private investment to be increased to 30 years.
