ANI makes toll commitments for Boyacá
ANI statement
March 5, 2024
The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) met with the communities of the municipality of San Luis de Gaceno, Boyacá, to address the current toll situation.
The agreed commitments were:
Verify the censuses built by the mayors of the municipalities of San Luis de Gaceno, Santa María and Sabanalarga (Boyacá), in order to continue with the suspension of collection for categories I, II, III and IV.
Continue with the reestablishment of the dialogue tables.
Agree on differential rates taking into account the prior submission of a draft that can be reviewed by the oversight offices and the community.
Strengthen the communication channels between the ANI and the oversight offices that optimize, consolidate and verify the information resulting from the dialogue and consultation exercises.
This meeting with the communities adds to the actions led by the Ministry of Transportation since November 2023, and to the commitments established in the meeting of January 19, 2024, in which it was agreed:
Extend the suspension of collection to categories I, II, III and IV, until February 20, 2024.
From February 20 to June 19, 2024, the suspension of collection will be maintained for the aforementioned categories, according to the census issued by the Mayor's Offices.
The other vehicles will pay the legally established rates for the toll, starting February 21, 2024.
Thus, the ANI responds to the call of the communities and ratifies its commitment to promoting an open and respectful dialogue with the inhabitants of the area of influence of the transportation infrastructure projects, facilitating spaces in which the communities' requests and proposals can be listened to and agreed upon effectively.
