Beginning the September agenda for the delivery of works for the llajta, the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, delivered 3 projects that will strengthen the electrical distribution system in the municipality of Cochabamba, incorporating a feeder, a transformer and state-of-the-art electrical cells, with an investment of 34.4 million bolivianos.
The projects were executed by the National Electricity Company (ENDE) Corporation, through its electricity distributor ELFEC SA. The works are part of the investment plan, which aims to strengthen the electrical system for the benefit of Bolivian families.
At the “Central Substation”, located in the central area of Cochabamba, a 24.9kV breaker was replaced by cells located in a modern infrastructure and the 24.9kV CE feeder “La Chimba” was built, with an investment of 15.7 million bolivianos. Likewise, a 24.9kV breaker was replaced by cells, with an investment of 9.7 million bolivianos. The set of primary medium voltage cells, with air-insulated bars and vacuum interrupters with digital numerical protection, protect the facilities and the personnel in charge of operating this equipment.
On the other hand, in response to the growing demand for electricity in the municipality of Cochabamba, a 50 MVA transformer and 24.9 kV medium voltage equipment were incorporated in the "YPFB Substation", located in the southern area of the Cochabamba capital, a work that required an investment of 9 million bolivianos.
The National Government, through its company ENDE, continues to modernize the national electrical system, incorporating equipment for the generation, transportation and distribution of electricity. For this reason, Bolivians have a constant and reliable electrical service, demonstrating that our country has one of the safest electrical systems in the region.
