Argentina province opens bids for sewerage initiative

Argentina's Córdoba province opened eight bids to install a sewer system that will benefit five municipalities in the mountainous area known as Sierras Chicas.
With a US$35mn budget coming from the provincial government, the project includes two contracts, which were tendered as part of a single process.
The first contract entails the installation of a main sewer (8.1km) that would collect wastewater from the Río Ceballos, Unquillo, Mendiolaza, Villa Allende and Saldán municipalities, and lead it to an existing treatment plant located at La Caldera municipality, the province said in a press release.
The contract also includes the installation of pumping stations and drive pipes as well as adding an extra module to the aforementioned treatment plant. These works have a reference budget of 456mn pesos.
The second contract involves the construction of a 12km collector sewer, which will also have three pumping stations. The budget for this stage is 180mn pesos.
