The provincial government is progressing with the execution of the tasks in the Desvío Arijón-Rafaela aqueduct , mainly in the Desvío Arijón water treatment plant, with the installation of three centrifugal pumps; and in the construction of a steel bridge of more than 70 meters that crosses the Colastiné stream - “Canal Santa María”, in the department of Las Colonias. The work will benefit more than 140,000 inhabitants and will require an investment that exceeds 14,000 million pesos.

In recent months, the necessary equipment for the operation of the Desvío Arijón - Rafaela aqueduct began to arrive. The main works that are projected include the expansion of the water treatment plant, five re-pumping stations and the laying of more than 130 kilometers of pipelines.

During the tour of the works, the Secretary of Companies and Public Services, Carlos Maina, explained that “the equipment that arrived last week is already installed, which consists of the three main pumps of the first pumping station of the system, equipment of large dimensions according to the flow required by the aqueduct ”.

“Each pump is capable of driving 2400 m3 / h at a height of 55 meters, they are powered by medium voltage and the motors have a power of 515 kW. The system foresees that, at this stage, two pumps will work simultaneously and the third will act as a reserve ”, the official added.

NEW AGREEMENTS

Likewise, Maina recalled that “this week we took another great step by signing the financing of the Santa Fe-Córdoba aqueduct with the Kuwaiti fund , which will grant a loan of 50 million dollars for the first stage of the work that will benefit both provinces ”.

"And we are close to finalizing the San Javier-Tostado aqueduct project with the national government," celebrated Maina, while ensuring that "this has to do with the firm political decision of Governor Omar Perotti to advance with the works that benefit directly to the people of Santa Fe, such as, in this case, providing them with quality water ”.
