Atlantico department rolls out new tech financing initiatives

The government of Colombia's Atlantico department will co-finance technology projects for 40 local companies, Colombian business paper Portafolio reported. Operating through its technology incubator, Incubar del Caribe, the government will finance 60% of companies' costs in three project areas. The government will co-finance ISO 9001 certification for 10 companies, and provide assistance to improve the sales effectiveness of another 10 companies. Incubar's third initiative will offer technology training to managers of another 20 companies.
