Authorities verify construction status of the Task Center and the electromobility project

He also maintained that the final intention of this project is to generate a source of employment for Paraguayans, as well as the creation of industries, auto parts, as well as vehicles made in Paraguay.

It is worth mentioning that the installation of the development center seeks to promote the electric vehicle auto parts industry and is part of the Electric Mobility Plan of the National Government.

For his part, the executive director of the Itaipú Technology Park, Carlos Mercado, highlighted the work carried out together to carry out the project. Finally, he commented that the approval of a non-refundable loan for the project is expected.

Training for the industry

The executive director of the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (Katech), Yang Jeongjik, indicated that the operation of this project so far is flowing quite well, and they precisely took advantage of the meeting to be able to inform, update the Minister and the new government, about all the details of it, as well as the projection of the different activities to be carried out. “One of the expectations we have about this Task Center is that within Paraguay it will support the training of technicians, as well as the development or promotion of the Paraguayan industry,” he pointed out, expressing that the different profiles are being planned. that they would be working there, and that, in general, the implementation committee for this project has already been established. “Throughout the development of this project, the people who would be working within the center would be defined,” he added.

In turn, the Vice Minister of Industry, Lorena Méndez, highlighted that a group of Paraguayans are already training in the Republic of Korea. "As the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, we are the interlocutors with the private sector, because currently 10 young technicians are finishing their training in Korea, who had four months of intensive training, in die-casting and design, and in maintenance of the parts,” he highlighted.
