BBVA Mexico is convinced that financial inclusion is a key axis for the transformation of the country. That is why Saeko, (an online platform that allows contracting and managing the information of various educational institutions), has joined forces to bank about 20 thousand students who currently do not have access to financial services and who require tuition payments, courses, enrollments, among others, offering them the opportunity to open a BBVA Mexico account from the Saeko application.

Sergio Torres Lebrija, Director of Strategy and Innovation at BBVA Mexico Digital Banking, commented: “We are supporting financial inclusion and education in the country by integrating young students into the financial system so that from now on they can have the necessary tools and knowledge for the proper use and management of your personal finances ”.

Torres also pointed out: "In order that educational institutions can promote better generations of students, we are creating opportunities so that, through our comprehensive offer of financial education, they achieve this goal."

José Carlos López, CEO and Co Founder of Saeko, said: "This alliance is the opportunity to innovate the public and private universities of Mexico, changing the complex financial management systems that sometimes affect the education of thousands of students."

Consult and issue account statements of the tuition of each student and maintain efficient control of payments. Generate payment files for referenced deposits and send notifications to the student's email of the payments. Also request discounts applied automatically to each student's account statement and issue electronic invoices based on current SAT standards.

The function of the Saeko platform is to automate the tasks and processes of the academic, school and financial control areas of various educational institutions, so that they can offer a quality online service to students, teachers and parents.

Saeko currently has 1,250 schools and universities throughout the Mexican Republic on its platform and has 500,000 users.
