Besalco expects 2003 sales to reach US$120mn

Chilean construction and engineering firm Besalco expects sales this year to reach US$120mn, Estrategia quoted company president Victor Bezanilla as saying. Besalco posted a 2.23bn peso (US$3.54mn) net profit in the first nine months, up 231% from the same period last year. Last year, the company - through consortiums and subsidiary companies - picked up four infrastructure projects/concessions offered by Chile's public works ministry, totaling US$163mn. Besalco has four divisions: construction, real estate, machinery and concessions.
