Bolivia launches bidding to optimize natural gas transport
YPFB Transporte, the transport arm of Bolivia’s state hydrocarbons company YPFB, has begun procurement to optimize the flow of natural gas.
The project is aimed at providing operational flexibility at the Campo Grande compression station by dividing the three-unit compression train to allow one compressor to process seasonal gas from Argentina and headed to Brazil.
The station is in Yacuiba, Tarija department, near the border with Argentina.
The overhaul looks to ensure compression capacity of gas dispatched to Bolivia’s Carlos Villegas Quiroga liquids separation plant.
Offers for the engineering and construction contract are due by July 29, according to bidding information.
