Bolivia launches supply tender for 238km transmission line
Bolivia's state power company Ende has begun procurement to advance construction of power transmission project Los Troncos-San Ignacio de Velasco.
The 238km, 230kV line will connect the San Ignacio de Velasco isolated system in Santa Cruz department to the national grid and eliminate the use of diesel-fired generation and optimize dispatch.
The infrastructure also will allow a future extension to the San Matías isolated system, 300km from San Ignacio de Velasco.
The call entails the supply of self-supported metal structures and falls under a US$78mn IDB-financed power infrastructure expansion program, which includes US$59.2mn for Los Troncos-San Ignacio de Velasco.
Offers are due by January 24, according to bidding information available in the Documents box in the top right corner.
The delivery window is 70-240 days, depending on the material. The project is penciled in to be completed at the end of 2025.
