Bolivia seeks contractor for wind project’s civil works

Bolivia’s state power company Ende launched bidding for the civil works on the 45MW Warnes II wind project in Santa Cruz department.

The 320-day contract covers the plant’s internal road, turbine foundations and water drainage, among other infrastructure.

The reference price is 128mn bolivianos (US$18.5mn) and offers are due by March 22.

BNamericas previously reported that Powerchina Zhongnan Engineering was selected to supply the turbines for Warnes II, as well as the 24MW La Ventolera wind project.

A tender for Warnes II's transmission component already is underway.

Meanwhile, Ende opened bidding to shore up generation capacity of the Riberalta isolated system in Beni department.
