Bolivia seeks firm to supervise US$40mn biodiesel project
Bolivia’s state hydrocarbons company YPFB has launched bidding to oversee development of a US$40mn biodiesel project in Santa Cruz.
Last year, YPFB Refinación and Desmet Ballestra signed a contract for the planned 1,500b/d plant.
The winner will supervise the project’s engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and initial operation and maintenance.
Offers for the 430-day contract are due by July 10, according to reference terms available in the Documents box in the upper right-hand corner.
The project falls under YPFB’s biofuels program which envisions a second biodiesel plant in El Alto and a hydrotreated vegetable oil plant as part of efforts to reduce fuel imports and subsidies.
