Bolivia will start new phase of Sucre – Yamparáez road in May
Statement from the Ministry of Public Works of Bolivia

The Minister of Public Works, Services and Housing, Edgar Montaño, reported that in May of this year the paving of the double highway via Sucre - Yamparáez will begin, which to date has a physical progress of 24% and a financial progress of 37%.
"We have come to Chuquisaca with the firm decision to continue with the construction of this highway," Montaño said at a press conference.
The State authority informed that it is the beginning of a second stage in the construction of this highway work.
“This is good news for Chuquisaca. Absolutely nothing of what Deputy Héctor Arce said was proven (…) and that is why we are going to continue with all our might to promote the highway so that it can be completed,” he said.
Last March, Montaño demonstrated to the deputy Héctor Arce, the main complainant in the ABC case , the six lies that he used as a strategy to mount the case of alleged corruption.
"We have listened to the conference of one of the prosecutors who said that nothing was found on this issue and therefore we conclude that this (the complaint) was a boycott against the Chuquisaca department of the Government," he added.
In this sense, the head of Works said that all efforts will be made to complete the work for the benefit of the people of Chuquisaqueños and the rest of the country.
“We are going to continue with all our forces to promote the highway so that it can be completed. There is heavy machinery working and in May the second stage begins with rigid pavement”, he reiterated.
"The population can rest easy now that the information has arrived," he concluded.
