Bonsucesso's Q2 net earnings down 17.3% to US$10mn

Brazil's Banco Bonsucesso saw net earnings decrease 17.3% to 20.4mn reais (US$10mn) in the second quarter of 2012 from 24.6mn reais a year-ago, the bank said in a press release. Bonsucesso's total loan portfolio was up 2.4% at the end of the second quarter to 3.49bn reais from 3.41bn reais at the same time last year. The bank's NPL ratio for loans overdue more than 90 days increased 0.8 basis points in 2Q12 compared to a year-ago to 4.0%. Total deposits in the quarter reached 1.55bn reais, down 2.1% compared with 1.58bn reais at the end of the second quarter of 2011. The bank's ROAE decreased 3.9 percentage points to 23.2% in the quarter from 27.1%. Assets increased 13.7% by end-Q2 to 2.87bn reais compared with 2.52bn reais a year ago.
