Brazil gives local firm green light to import Bolivian LNG

Brazil’s oil and gas watchdog ANP has given the green light to Logás Logística e Distribuição de Gás to import liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Bolivia. 

The volume authorized is 91,250m3/year, which will go to consumers in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, Paraná, Minas Gerais and São Paulo states. 

The fuel will be transported by road, and the delivery points will initially be logistic bases to be established in Mato Grosso do Sul and Minas Gerais. 

Logás is a Brazilian gas distributor operating in the Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Espírito Santo states.

Currently, another 40 companies are authorized to import gas (in gaseous or liquefied form):
