Brazil launches tender to hire airborne geophysical services
Brazil’s geological service (SGB) launched a tender to carry out airborne geophysical surveys.
"Interested parties have until January 6 to participate through the federal government's procurement portal," SGB said in a statement.
"The bidding, in the form of an electronic auction, involves contracting specialized services for the acquisition and processing of airborne geophysical data totaling one million linear kilometers," it added.
The surveys are part of the goals set out in the country's mining plan 2030-50 under which SGB will provide more resources for various projects that expand geological knowledge, contributing to the diversification of the country's mining sector.
The work is aimed at helping to discover strategic mineral deposits for the energy transition, including lithium, rare earth elements, cobalt, graphite, nickel and copper, SGB said.
