Brazil M&A: Notredame Intermédica sells firm to RHMed
Brazilian health insurance provider Notredame Intermédica sold its occupational health arm RH Vida to RHMed, which is a large player in the occupational health business.
The purchase price of 24mn reais (US$6.45mn) will be paid in two installments.
The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
RH Vida posted net revenues of 43.3mn reais last year.
Controlled by private equity firm Axxon, RHMed said it will now become the leader in the occupational health segment.
Most of the largest retail companies in Brazil are clients of RH Vida, according to the press release from RHMed.
"This acquisition shows our commitment to invest in occupational medicine and providing a high quality service to our clients," said RHMed.
