Brazil producers unload 100% of supply in biodiesel auction
Brazilian producers sold 100% of the 636.3Ml of biodiesel on offer in the country's latest tender for supply of the fuel to refiners.
The average price was 2.855 reais (US$0.89)/liter, hydrocarbons regulator ANP said in a statement, 7% lower than the ceiling price established for the auction.
Brazil carries out biodiesel tenders periodically in order to comply with a nationally mandated 7% admixture in the national diesel mix.
The most recent auction was to ensure supply of the biofuel in the local market for the period from November 1-December 31, ANP said.
