Brazil provides tender update for US$1.8bn Goiás highway concession
Brazil’s land transport regulator ANTT provided an update on a planned concession for highway stretches in Goiás state that will generate investments of around 9.4bn reais (US$1.8bn).
The concession will include four sections of the GO-020/060/070/080 highways, with a combined extension of nearly 573km.
The tender notice is expected to be published in the first quarter of 2025 and the auction will be held in the second quarter of the same year, ANTT said in a statement.
The estimated investment for the 35-year contract comprises capex of 5.2bn reais and opex totaling 4.2bn reais.
The contract’s main works entail the widening of 63km, building 33km of additional lanes, and construction of 106km of road shoulders.
