Brazil schedules date to present permanent offer bids
Brazil will hold its first public session to present bids for the permanent offer system of oil and gas areas on September 10.
According to oil and gas regulator ANP, companies have until July 12 to register and pay participation fees for this first cycle. Concession contracts are due to be signed by February 2020.
So far, 35 firms have had their registration requests approved to participate in the country’s permanent offer. The system offers areas that were returned to the state or did not attract offers in previous bidding rounds as part of the country’s efforts to attract small and medium-sized companies and to increase investments in E&P, especially in mature regions.
Currently 14 fields in the Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo and Sergipe-Alagoas basins are available for bids, in addition to 600 exploration blocks in the Espírito Santo, Potiguar, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Paraná, Parnaíba, Tucano, Campos, Santos and Ceará basins.
