Brazilian optical provider DPR inks contracts in Colombia, Argentina

Brazilian optical equipment solutions provider DPR Telecomunicações has signed commercial agreements with companies in Colombia and Argentina as part of its expansion strategy in Latin America.
The announcements were made during the Abrint 2024 ISP event this week in São Paulo.
In Colombia, DPR signed a contract with local company Cavar, which manufactures and sells high-technology products and services for internal and external fiber optic networks.
In Argentina, the Brazilian company also announced a deal with Mediatel, which works with FTTX networks and ICT projects, as well as other areas. Founded 25 years ago, Mediatel is considered one of the largest manufacturers of telecom equipment, materials and services in Argentina, supplying the big Argentine operators, according to DPR.
A third deal was inked with Cafel, involved import and sale of telecom and energy products to and from the US, Central America and the Caribbean.
Previously, DPR had expanded to Uruguay and Chile with local commercial agreements.
“Our expansion plans are promising and include several other countries, such as Mexico and the United States. We want to show the world everything we can offer in terms of network infrastructure and connectivity,” said DPR's commercial director for Latin America, Efraim Santos Filho.
Sâo Paulo-based DPR has a production chain formed primarily by national partners and its product assembly is done at 9,000m².plant in the city of Sorocaba.
The company aims to increase its annual revenues by at least 25% this year with new verticals and its international expansion.
